The annual clout competition between St George’s and Thirsk took place under unseasonably pleasant conditions. No rain, no wind, even a bit of sunshine at times.
The archery was the usual mix of extreme skill and extreme random chance, with St George’s ending up the eventual victors. As ever, nobody is really sure how the winner is decided, but it was clear that everyone had a good time.
