On Sunday 4th June four interpid longbow archers from St Georges ventured over to Burton Constable company of Archers for their annual medieval/viking inspired fun shoot.

Not your average target shoot either but 11 fantastic hand painted target faces with a twist. A very simple scoring system with 2 points for hitting the gold section, 1 point for any other part of the target but zero points for hitting the white, even it forms a part of the target face! Alongside those dressed in period dress Ian Marr, Julian Crump, Mark Reed and Andy Monger took up the challenge. Ian Marr taking both the highest overall score and the most golds, well done Ian. Full scores can be found here https://www.bccbarchery.co.uk/index.php/competitions/ Great fun and a must for any longbow archer.
